CSA has announced squads for the all-format tour of England on Wednesday. South Africa will play 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is, and 3 Test matches against England starting from July 19. Temba Bavuma who got injured during the T20I series against India has been ruled out of the England tour. CSA has appointed Keshav Maharaj and David Miller as stand-in captains for the ODI and T20I teams respectively.

Kagiso Rabada has been rested for the ODI series to manage his workload. Rilee Rossouw has been recalled to the T20I team after six years. 21 years old Gerald Coetzee has received his maiden call-up for the T20I series. South Africa's big players including Kagiso Rabada, Aiden Markram, and Marco Jansen who missed the Bangladesh Test series due to IPL 2022 also return to the side.

CSA Convenor of selectors Victor Mpitsang said. "The T20 format is a high priority for us at the moment because of ICC T20 World Cup coming up in a few short months in Australia. We are looking to give opportunities to players that we are interested in seeing and working out the best combinations, while also trying to balance our desire to maintain enough consistency within the setup that the players are used to playing together as a team by the time they reach Australia for the World Cup. This series will go a long way in helping us achieve all of those objectives.

"While the ODI series is not for Super League points, the 50-over format is of vital importance as we look ahead to the 2023 ICC World Cup in India. The combinations tried and the performances we yielded will go a long way in our build-up to that tournament.
