CSA signs 30 marquee international players for new T20 league

After the UAE T20 league announced the signings of marquee players. Cricket South Africa also have announced the signing of 30 international players for its inaugural season.  The numbers will increase as players are set to enter the auction which will take place in a few weeks.

CSA signs 30 marquee international players for new T20 league

After the UAE T20 league announced the signings of marquee players. Cricket South Africa also have announced the signing of 30 international players for its new T20 league. The numbers will increase as players are set to enter the auction which will take place in a few weeks.

As per reports, CSA signed 11 English players, including Jason Roy, Sam Curran and former white-ball skipper Eoin Morgan. They also have secured six players from West Indies including Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Obed McCoy and Kyle Mayers. All-rounder James Neesham and Ireland batter Harry Tector also signed for South Africa's T20 League.

Six franchises will have a squad of 17 players. Each franchise in the CSA T20 league will have the opportunity to pre-sign up five players before the auction which include three foreign players, one South African international player and one uncapped South African player.

Cricbuzz reported that Super Kings have signed Faf Du Plessis and Moeen Ali. Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed Anrich Nortje and Aiden Markram and Rajasthan Royals retained Jos Buttler and Lucknow SuperGiants retained Quinton de Kock. Mumbai Indians have done some big signings for their side as they signed Kagiso Rabada, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran and Rashid Khan. All the six teams in CSA T20 leagues are owned by IPL franchises.

The CSA T20 league is set to clash with BBL and UAE T20 League in January 2023.
