Australia has announced a 16-member squad for the two-match T20I series against West Indies. Mitchell Starc, David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, and Mitchell Marsh all return to the squad.
All four players were not in the squad which toured India for the three-match T20I series. Starc had a knee injury, Stoinis picked up a side injury in the ODI series against New Zealand, Marsh had an ankle injury and David Warner was rested from the India tour.
Cameron Green who scored two half-centuries against India has retained his place in the team. But he's not part of the T20 World Cup squad. Ashton Agar and Kane Richardson have been rested from the series. Sean Abbott and Daniel Sams also retained their spots in the team.
"We have and are taking a cautious approach with the world cup on the near horizon. To have four key players return gives us the ability to take a conservative path with any minor issues and resolve those well in time for the World Cup. As such we anticipate Kane and Ashton will return for the following series against England". - George Bailey, National Selector
Australia will play two T20I matches against West Indies on October 5 and 7 after that they will host England for the three-match T20I series.
